About Michele (Office Manager)
I am thrilled to join the Modern Dentistry Team. With over 22 years in the dental industry, I am committed to building personal relationships with our team and our patients. It is very important to me to help patients with treatment concerns while navigating the ever-changing world of insurance! Calming patient fears, answering questions, helping patients make treatment possible in a soothing environment is extremely rewarding to me. I have lived in East Setauket for 26 years. I enjoy running, pickleball, and traveling. In the summer, our family loves to spend time at Pirates Cove on a jet ski, stand up paddle or speed boat with our 110-pound black lab named Dude. He’s the mayor of Pirates Cove!
About Karen (Lead Dental Assistant)
I have been working at Modern Dentistry for many years. I truly enjoy working with Dr. Carrion. She is a pleasure to work with and we make a great team!
I have a son, Joseph. He is a Marine Mechanic and simply the light of my life. I am a VERY proud mom!! He has grown to be a wonderful, handsome man (I’m just a little biased!) and he is recently married to my wonderful daughter in law Katie. Recently, I became a grandma of a beautiful baby girl named Hailey. I have the pleasure of babysitting and taking her to the beach with me!
Some of my hobbies are cycling, swimming, four-wheeling, boating and weight training. I also have an extreme love for animals and a passion for rescuing animals. I am very fortunate to have a wonderful family and amazing friends. I look forward to meeting you 🙂
About Cindy (Scheduling Coordinator)
Cindy is a certified dental assistant and myofunctional therapist. With over 25 years of experience in the dental field. She is seasoned in all aspects of dentistry and prides herself in the ability to work in a clinical capacity as well as a scheduling coordinator. Cindy is passionate about using her Spanish fluency to connect with the Latino community while providing culturally competent care. She is a mother of 2 teenage girls, her spunky Yorkie Chico and her energetic husky named Luna. When she is not at work, you can find Cindy on the beach or embracing her inner fanaticism for all things Disney!
About Denise (Front Desk/Dental Assistant)
Denise joined the Modern Dentistry Team in September 2023. Denise is new to the dental field and recently transitioned to treating patients as a dental assistant. She loves assisting and making the patient feel comfortable during treatment. Prior to this, she managed several Suffolk County School District lunch programs and gained most of her experience during her tenure there. She is dedicated to giving superior service and will do what she can to make the patient’s experience a positive and fulfilling one. Fun Fact: Denise is an avid Peloton user and is a proud member of their “century club”. She loves spending time with her husband, two sons, family, friends and fur baby.
About Jacqueline (Dental Assistant)
Hi! My name is Jacqueline and I am a Dental Assistant at MDLI. I have been an assistant for the past 20 years and have experience with all aspects of Dentistry from Pediatrics & General Dentistry. I love working with the amazing team here – it is a great, fun spirited office, who love helping their patients. I enjoy getting to know the patients and making them feel relaxed and happy. I can’t wait to meet you and help you take care of your smile 🙂
About Anabelle (Dental Assistant)
I am thrilled to be working at Modern Dentistry. I have been assisting for 11 years. I love connecting with patients and making them feel comfortable while being treated. I have two sons, a 10-year-old and a 7-year-old. When I’m not busy with their school activities, I am spending time with family, baking, enjoying Long Island Events, drawing with my little artist and starting new hobbies. It has been a pleasure to be part of the team at Modern Dentistry. Everyone is warm, welcoming and fun!
About Rachel (Billing Coordinator)
Hello I am Rachel, the Treatment Coordinator at Modern Dentistry of Long Island. It has been an absolute pleasure to work on Dr. Carrion’s team and I am lucky to have such amazing people surrounding me on a daily basis. I find it very exciting being able to aid a patient in restoring their smiles and maintaining dental health.
You may notice that you won’t see me quite as often in the office, it is because I am VERY busy at home with my 2 daughters Cecelia and Isla, our adorable son, Colin and we have another beautiful addition to our family on the way in May 2024. We are taking this extra time to enjoy all the moments we can together! I love to cook and bake, and it’s always appreciated when I bring the treats we make into the office for sampling.
I have been part of the Modern Dentistry Team for almost 10 years, and I look forward to many more! Hope to see you soon!
